Spring 2011 Final Exam Topic Coverage:
The comprehensive Spring 2011 Final Exam for Econ 353 will cover all required readings, take-home exercises (1-12), and in-class discussions relating to Mishkin Chapters 1-5, 7-12, and 20-21. For the exercises, be sure to review both the multiple choice questions based on the required Mishkin textbook chapter readings and the required readings for the special "Q6-Q8" questions typically focusing on empirical case studies.
The basic required readings and the take-home exercises (with additional required readings for Q6-Q8) can be found at the

marked with a double asterisk (**).
In particular, the comprehensive Spring 2011 Final Exam will cover all required materials covered on the First and Second Midterm Exams and all new required materials covered since the Second Midterm Exam through the last day of class. Although the final exam coverage will be comprehensive, the new required materials covered since the Second Midterm Exam will be stressed.

1. Required Materials Covered on the First Midterm Exam
The required (**) materials for the First Midterm Exam included: (a) all in-class discussions and all required
readings, html notes, and ppt slides relating to Mishkin Chapters 1-3; (b) Empirical Data Packets #1 and #2; and (c) take-home exercises 1 through 4 (including the required readings listed for the Q6-Q8 questions within each exercise).
2. Required Materials Covered on the Second Midterm Exam
The required (**) materials for the comprehensive Second Midterm Exam included: (a) all required materials for the First Midterm Exam (see above); (b) all in-class discussions and all required readings, html notes, and ppt slides relating to Mishkin Chapters 4, 5, and 7; and (c) take-home exercises 5-7 (including the required readings listed for the Q6-Q8 questions within each exercise).
3. Required Materials to be Covered on the Final Exam
The required (**) materials to be covered on the Final Exam include: (a) all required materials from the First and Second Midterm Exams (see above); (b) all in-class discussions and all required readings, html notes, and ppt slides relating to Mishkin Chapters 20, 21, and 8-12; and (c) take-home exercises 8-12 (including the required readings listed for the Q6-Q8 questions within each exercise).
The html notes and ppt slides posted at the online Econ 353 syllabus for each Mishkin chapter indicate which particular topics from this chapter will be stressed on the Final Exam.
