and Trade in Spain

March 11-21, 2010 (Spring Break)

The Agronomy Department and the Economics Department at Iowa State University are sponsoring the travel course "Agronomy 496/Economics 496: Agricultural Production, Business, and Trade in Spain" in Spring 2010. The focus of this program of study is to compare agricultural production, business, and trade in Spain and the United States. This 3-credit course involves a trip to Spain from March 11 through March 21, 2010 and meets the international perspective requirement. While in Spain, ISU students will visit farms, agricultural businesses, important sites in Madrid and Barcelona, and will interact with the faculty and students of the University of Lleida’s School of Agricultural and Forestry Engineering in Lleida, Catalonia. Class meetings will be held Wednesday 5:10-6:30 during the spring semester.
