Eurostat: a wide range of statistical information for Europe and its agricultural industries. You can get prepared tables, graphs and maps from this site.  You can also download data – but you need to register as a user to do so.

 

European Commission: website provides information for the Commission.  A good source for EU policies, publications, laws, etc.

 

Portrait of the Regions: Gives a short description of the different geographical regions of Germany.

 

USDA Economic Research Service – Briefing rooms: this site provides an analysis of a wide variety of US agricultural topics (including bio-energy). Information on Germany is usually included as part of analysis on the EC

 

USDA- Foreign Agricultural Service has a great deal of information on agriculture in Europe and Germany – most from a US perspective.

 

Germany’s Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Production website: information on Germany’s agriculture and includes the Federal Government Agricultural reports, Organic Farming reports, and key elements on the Reform of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP)
