Deiter is expected to play a significant leadership role in the department’s undergraduate Agricultural Business and Economics programs. His involvement is to include undergraduate teaching (65%), undergraduate advising (20%), and administration (15%).
His normal load includes teaching approximately 17-18 credits of undergraduate classes in an academic year, advising 15-20 undergraduate advisees and the Ag Business Club each semester, and serving as the department’s Advising Assistant. Deiter’s expected service component involves serving on two-three committees (departmental, college, or university) that deal with teaching, advising, and curriculum issues.
Deiter is expected to maintain a program of scholarly work related to undergraduate education activities in the department. Appropriate examples of this work would include refereed publications, books or book chapters, professional presentations, new course development, innovative teaching techniques, and advising-related accomplishments.
